We are proud to announce the first Chess for a Cause school club at Johns Creek High School.
Mr. Prajin Dhumal, president of the Johns creek High School Chess for a Cause club was at our chess session at Cottonwood Estates Gracious Retirement Living. Since this was our first session at Cottonwood Estates, Prajin had a good idea about the process of starting chess for a cause sessions at a new facility. We exchanged the 4-H forms and procedures and look forward to inducting 15 new members from Johns Creek High School to the Chess for a Cause team.
We believe Chess for a Cause School clubs are a great way for a group of students from one school to come together and help one or two senior centers in their community. It provides an opportunity for the team members to lead their own projects, plan activities, deliver chess sessions and make a difference in the community.
